NFI COMPARATOR
This software is for positioning a face or an object in the
same way for doing a forensic comparison. Sometimes it is needed to ask a suspect
to visit the camera system and making comparison images. This is necessary in
order to have the same light conditions etc. With this software which is
developed by students from the HvA it makes it
easier. It can be used for all kinds of comparisons with live video, streaming
video and still images.
If necessary download java applet software from http://www.java.com . Run the NFI.jar file, and a screen will appear. First a path to the download path should be given, and all buttons will appear. Two images can be compared side by side. Zooming rotating is possible. Also live images can be compared. When trying to use a USB-camera it should be supported by Java. Sometimes additional drivers are necessary.
